Not all tanks are equal... The Snyder Industries 4100 gallon vertical tank is molded in high density linear polyethylene and built to ASTM D1998 standards. It rises 100 inches on a 120 x 120-inch footprint... and carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating — the number that matters when liquids are heavier than water. At 1.9 SG it holds roughly 64,969 lb at full volume, versus about 34,194 lb for full water. 4100 gallons is the rated shell volume; higher SG needs freeboard and reduces usable gallons. Molded fittings include a flange, an 18-inch PE threaded manway, and eight flat fitting pads at 45-degree spacing. The shell rating covers molded surfaces; gasket and seal materials are not covered.
