Squat and wide—86 inches across the base, 56.5 inches tall—so a full 1,200 gallons rides low and stable rather than tall and tippy. The black resin blocks light to slow algae growth... and a 1.5 specific gravity rating means the walls are rated to hold liquids up to 1.5 times the weight of water. Filled with plain water, contents weigh about 10,008 pounds; at 1.5 SG they can reach roughly 15,012 pounds—nearly 5,000 pounds more than water.
