Ten thousand gallons of water... a polyethylene vertical bulk-storage vessel in black, built for high-volume water service — rural fire reserves, irrigation supply, process make-up, and reuse trains. It stands 161 inches tall (13.4 feet) on a 144 x 144 inch footprint and holds 10,000 gallons. Molded at Snyder’s Merced, California plant. Rated for contents up to 1.0 specific gravity — water and water-weight liquids only. Filled to capacity it carries 83,400 pounds. Opaque black walls block light penetration to slow algae growth. The top is a 24 inch vented polyethylene manway — atmospheric and breathing, not rated for pressure or vacuum. Fittings use polypropylene bodies with EPDM gaskets.
