The 4 oz Clear Glass Boston Round Bottles (Black PP Lotion Pump) - BC424PB-24 (MPN BC424PB-24) is a Type III soda-lime silica glass container engineered for retail packaging, sample collection, laboratory dispensing, and process-fluid storage applications.
Design
- Continuous-thread (CT) or snap-fit neck finish — closure must be matched by finish-size standard (e.g., 28-400, 24-410, 38-400) per SPI / ISBT specifications
- One-piece molded construction — extrusion-blow for HDPE/LDPE/PP, injection-stretch-blow for PET, mold-formed for glass
- Wall thickness graduated to match volume and pressure rating (carbonated vs still vs viscous fluids)
- Stable flat base or beveled push-up sized for line conveyor handling at fill operations
- Available in clear/natural/colored variants depending on resin and pigment package
- Type III Soda-Lime Silica Glass — meets USP <660> Glass Containers standard for pharmaceutical primary packaging at non-parenteral grade. Lower hydrolytic resistance than Type I borosilicate (USP <660> grade I). Inert to most chemistries; autoclavable.
Use & handling
Fill via gravity, pressure, or vacuum line per the manufacturing operation's fill-station configuration. Closures (sold separately or in matched kits) must be torqued to the specified application torque (typically 12-22 in-lb for standard CT finishes; verify with closure supplier). Store empty containers on stable pallets; store filled product per the product's shelf-stability spec. Verify lot codes and batch numbers per GMP recordkeeping requirements for regulated product categories.
Common applications
- Pharmaceutical and OTC liquid medication packaging (where USP <661> compliance is verified)
- Laboratory reagent storage and dispensing — solvents, buffers, indicators, standards
- Food-grade liquid retail — sauces, dressings, condiments, beverages
- Sample collection in environmental testing, water quality, and field-sampling operations
- Essential oil, fragrance, and flavor concentrate retail packaging
- E-juice, vape liquid, and tincture retail packaging
Compatibility & compliance
Glass containers meet USP <660> Glass Containers standard at Type III soda-lime grade. Inert to virtually all aqueous and most non-aqueous food chemistries. Verify USP <660> Type I borosilicate compatibility for pharmaceutical-grade parenteral primary packaging.
