Constructed from virgin linear polyethylene (HDPE) using a single-piece rotational molding process that eliminates seams, weld lines, and potential leak points. Rated for liquids at 1.0 specific gravity (8.3 pounds per gallon), this tank is optimized for water storage with wall thickness calibrated for standard water weight. UV-resistant black pigmentation provides maximum outdoor durability and inhibits algae growth in stored liquids. Maximum operating temperature is 120° F / 48° C, with UV stabilizers compounded directly into the resin for outdoor service life.
This tank measures 36 inches tall with a 35-inch diameter, requiring 6.7 square feet of level ground. Empty weight is 55 pounds. At full capacity with a 1.0 SG liquid, expect approximately 972 pounds on the foundation. Set on a flat, level pad of compacted gravel or a concrete slab at least 4 inches thick. Place on a firm, level surface free of rocks or sharp objects that could damage the tank bottom. Ensure adequate ventilation if stored chemicals produce vapors.
Factory-installed fittings include a 1-1/2" PP Female NPT Bulkhead Fitting outlet and a 1" PP Female NPT Bulkhead Fitting inlet, both with NPT threading for direct connection to standard schedule 40 or schedule 80 PVC, polypropylene, or stainless steel plumbing. The 8" Threaded Vented Lid lid accommodates fill lines, vent connections, and basic interior access for inspection. We recommend schedule 80 PVC or polypropylene fittings on the 1" NPT outlet with a ball valve for positive shutoff.
