UV-resistant black pigmentation provides maximum outdoor durability and inhibits algae growth in stored liquids. Maximum operating temperature is 120° F / 48° C, with UV stabilizers compounded directly into the resin for outdoor service life.
This tank measures 71 inches tall with a 85-inch diameter, requiring 39.4 square feet of level ground. Empty weight is 200 pounds. At full capacity with a 1.1 SG liquid, expect approximately 12,585 pounds on the foundation. Requires an engineered reinforced concrete foundation designed by a structural professional for the full loaded weight. Install on a level, compacted surface. Ensure adequate clearance above for lid access and around the perimeter for plumbing connections and visual inspection.
Factory-installed fittings include a 2" PP Female NPT Bulkhead Fitting outlet and a 2" PP Female NPT Bulkhead Fitting inlet, both with NPT threading for direct connection to standard schedule 40 or schedule 80 PVC, polypropylene, or stainless steel plumbing. The 16" Threaded Vented Manway lid opening provides ample access for interior inspection, cleaning, and installation of float switches, level sensors, or submersible pumps. Use schedule 80 PVC or stainless steel bulkhead fittings on the 2" NPT connections. Install a full-port ball valve and consider a Y-strainer to protect downstream equipment.
