The Enduraplas 2000 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank is built for full-drain bulk chemical service, pairing a 2000-gallon working volume with a 1.9 specific-gravity rating that sits at the top of the polyethylene range and lets it hold dense liquids. The cone geometry drains toward the bottom outlet, so you are not leaving product, sediment, or settled solids in the bottom between batches. This green polyethylene tank measures 90 inches in diameter and 113 inches in overall height, and its 90-inch footprint is the number you need when you size a cone bottom stand. If you are weighing this against other cone tanks, work through our cone bottom tank stand compatibility matrix before you order steel.

Will it work for your application

Run the numbers on weight before anything else. Filled with water, this tank carries 16,680 lb; loaded to its full 1.9-SG rating, contents reach a maximum of 31,692 lb. That spread is not theoretical: 98% sulfuric acid at roughly 1.84 SG fills this tank to near its rated ceiling, which is exactly why the 1.9 rating matters and why your stand, anchoring, and pad must all be engineered to the heavier 31,692 lb figure, not the 16,680 lb water number. Use the Tank Sizing Calculator to confirm your liquid's weight at volume, and the Tank Sizing Guide if you are still deciding between 2000 gallons and an adjacent size. Because a cone bottom tank is suspended in a stand and drains under gravity, fitting placement on the top deck drives whether your fill, vent, and level instrumentation play nicely together - our guide on tank top fitting placement strategy walks through laying out fill, vent, level, and drain without cross-contamination. For level monitoring on a tall 113-inch tank, see our breakdown of tank level gauge selection for chemical service. Refer to the technical drawing on this page for outlet and dimensional detail.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank carrying a 1.9 specific-gravity rating. The resin is recorded as HDLPE but is not yet confirmed - confirm the polyethylene type with us before you commit it to chemical service, because crosslinked and linear polyethylene differ in their resistance to certain oxidizers and solvents. The 1.9 rating already covers essentially every chemical in the list below, including the heaviest entries - 98% sulfuric acid, 50% ferric chloride, 50% hydrogen peroxide - so there is no step-up tank to chase. The tank ships bare, with no fittings installed, so budget for a bulkhead fitting, valve, and gasket kit matched to your chemical. Across the compatible set, fittings span PVC, CPVC, PP, and 316 stainless, and gaskets span EPDM, Viton, and Aflas - size them to the chemical, not just the tank:

Two traps cost buyers the most here. First, gaskets: the oxidizers - hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid, peracetic acid - call for Viton or Aflas, not EPDM. Second, fitting metal: most chemicals on this list run PVC, but DEF, peracetic acid, propylene glycol, and zinc orthophosphate need 316 stainless (or PP/316SS), so do not order PVC bulkheads for those. Concentrations and ratings here follow the OEM chemical-resistance chart and are concentration- and temperature-specific, so verify your exact concentration and service temperature against the chart. Browse the full Chemical Compatibility Database for any chemical not listed above.
