The Enduraplas 3200 Gallon Black Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC03200KB) is a full-drain vessel built for chemical batching and storage where you need the tank to empty completely. The polyethylene tank stands 126" tall on its stand with a 110" diameter footprint, carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, and weighs 1,545 lb empty. It comes with a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead outlet at the cone tip and a 16" threaded vented manway up top, and it is FDA approved. The cone geometry drains sediment and slurry that would settle and stagnate in a flat-bottom tank, which is why growers, water-treatment operators, and chemical handlers reach for this 3200 gallon cone bottom Enduraplas tank on a stand.

Will it work for your contents?

The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters. Water at 3,200 gallons weighs about 26,688 lb, and the tank is rated to carry up to roughly 50,707 lb of contents, so a full load of heavier chemistry is well inside the shell's design. Size your fill against actual contents weight, not gallons alone, before you commit. If you are unsure how the cone volume and stand height figure into your batch schedule, run the numbers through our Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide. Because this is a cone-on-stand configuration, stand selection is its own decision — see our stand selection decision tree and the stand compatibility matrix for Norwesco, Snyder, and Enduraplas.

Chemical compatibility

This tank is polyethylene, but the exact resin — HDLPE versus XLPE — is not yet confirmed in our data. Confirm it with us before putting any chemical into service, since cross-linked and high-density polyethylene do not share the same resistance profile. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific — verify your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and your fitting and gasket materials before ordering.

At this tank's 1.9 SG rating, the OEM chart supports service for chemicals including Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC, Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS, Aflas), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC, Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride (PVC, EPDM), Potassium Carbonate (50%, PVC, EPDM), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfate (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%, PVC, EPDM), Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC, Viton), and Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM). The chart also covers Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), DEF (32.5%), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), and Urea Solution (50%) — all of which rate to lower specific gravities and sit well within this tank's 1.9 headroom. Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM, PVC, EPDM) is supported as well; its database entry is pending.

Two mistakes to avoid on this tank. First, do not match a Viton-required acid like sulfuric or hydrochloric to an EPDM gasket — that pairing will fail. Second, watch the fitting metal: DEF and Peracetic Acid require 316-stainless fittings, and Propylene Glycol and Zinc Orthophosphate call for PP or 316SS — do not plumb any of these in plain PVC. Full details live in our Chemical Compatibility Database.

Fittings and drawing

The 3" PP female NPT bulkhead sits at the cone apex for full drain; the 16" vented manway gives you fill and inspection access without pulling a hard vacuum. See the technical drawing on this page for the exact port layout and stand dimensions before you plumb.
