The Enduraplas 3000 Gallon Black Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC03000KB) is a full-drain vessel built for chemical batching, dosing, and settling where you need every gallon to evacuate through the bottom outlet. It stands 146 inches tall on a 90-inch diameter footprint, molded in black polyethylene with a 1.9 specific-gravity rating and an empty weight of 1,000 lb. Fluid leaves through a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead fitting at the cone apex, and you fill and service through a 16" threaded vented manway up top. Those two openings are what the tank ships with, the cone-apex outlet and the vented manway, with no additional side ports for a return line, level sensor, or recirc; plan those separately if your process needs them. It carries an FDA Approved designation, which certifies the resin for food-grade contact, not a chemical-service endorsement, chemical suitability is governed by the compatibility chart below. See the technical drawing on this page for the cone and stand geometry before you pour a pad or set your anchor pattern.
Will it hold your chemical
The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters here. It means the tank wall is engineered to carry contents up to 1.9 times the weight of water, which is the top of the polyethylene SG range. With water, this 3000-gallon tank holds roughly 25,020 lb full; at its maximum rated contents weight it is built to carry up to 47,538 lb. Use those figures with the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide to confirm your product's specific gravity stays at or under 1.9 before you commit. Anything heavier than 1.9 SG needs a different tank.
Chemical compatibility
This tank is molded from polyethylene at a 1.9 SG rating. The resin is recorded as HDLPE with a question mark, so confirm HDLPE vs XLPE with us before you put it into chemical service, since the two resins behave differently against certain reagents. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart, which is concentration and temperature specific, always match your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, fitting, and gasket before ordering. One thing to reconcile up front: the stock outlet is PP. Where the chart calls for PVC, CPVC, or 316SS wetted parts, the bulkhead and any valves must be specified in that material separately, the included PP fitting does not by itself satisfy the chart for those chemicals. At this tank's 1.9 SG the chart supports service with ethylene glycol (100%, PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), ferric chloride (50%, PVC/EPDM), ferric sulfate (60%, PVC/EPDM), hydrochloric acid (37%, PVC fittings, Viton gaskets), hydrofluoric acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), peracetic acid (30%, 316SS fittings, Aflas gaskets), phosphoric acid (85%, PVC, Viton), polyaluminum chloride (PVC/EPDM), potassium carbonate (50%, PVC/EPDM), potassium hydroxide (saturated, PVC/EPDM), propylene glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), sodium bisulfate (PVC/PP, EPDM), sodium bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), sodium hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), sodium thiosulfate (40%, PVC/EPDM), sulfuric acid (98%, CPVC fittings, Viton gaskets), and zinc orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM). Lower-SG products the chart also supports at this rating include acetic acid (60%), aluminum sulfate (50%), calcium chloride (40%), DEF (32.5%, 316SS/EPDM), ferrous sulfate (20%), magnesium chloride (30%), sodium carbonate (30%), urea solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM), and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM, PVC/EPDM). Match your gasket to the chart, this is where mistakes leak: an EPDM gasket on an aggressive acid like hydrochloric or sulfuric wants Viton instead, and peracetic acid wants Aflas, not EPDM or Viton. DEF and urea call for EPDM gaskets and stainless or PP wetted hardware. Full details live in our Chemical Compatibility Database.
