Ronco's RVB491 brings heavy-wall construction to the 48 gallon RV fresh water class, shipping at approximately 95 pounds. All of that is polyethylene in the wall, and it buys stiffness under load and a long service life for a tank that will ride bolted beneath a motorhome or large trailer. The rating is light-duty potable fresh water, the standard class for RV drinking water systems.
The resin is natural FDA-compliant polyethylene, molded without colorant so the translucent wall acts as a permanent sight gauge: the water line is visible from outside the tank, full to empty. Rotational molding makes the shell one seamless piece with no joints or weld beads anywhere.
Each RVB491 is molded by Ronco Plastics in Tustin, California, a rotomolding specialist since 1974, and finished to order with spin-weld or threaded fittings installed at the customer's specified locations, as on every Ronco tank. Where a drawing is shown it represents the blank molding before fittings go in. OneSource Plastics carries the RVB491 as an authorized Ronco Plastics dealer.
