Norwesco Drainable Leg Tanks
Norwesco drainable leg tanks are horizontal polyethylene tanks with a sump at the bottom, so the tank empties all the way through the outlet. That makes them a good fit for liquids you don't want left in the tank between loads. This category has the 710 and 1,010 gallon horizontal drainable leg tanks, the 1,610 gallon elliptical drainable leg tank, and the bands and skids that go with them.

Sizes and features
- 710 gallon horizontal tank in white, rated to 1.5 specific gravity.
- 1,010 gallon horizontal tank in white (1.5 specific gravity) or light blue heavy duty (1.9 specific gravity).
- 1,610 gallon elliptical tank in black, rated to 1.5 specific gravity, with an optional steel skid frame (N-63070).
Each tank has a 16 inch manway on top. Check each product's specifications for the exact length, width, height and outlet size.
Bands are required
Norwesco requires full length support and support bands on every drainable leg tank. The 710 gallon tank takes three short bands (N-60584). The 1,010 gallon tank takes two short bands (N-60584) and two long bands (N-60585). The 1,610 gallon tank takes four bands (N-62434). Before you order
- Order the bands. Add the required bands with the tank.
- Support the full length. Set the tank on a flat deck or skid that supports it from end to end.
- Check your weight. Water weighs about 8.3 lbs per gallon, so a full 1,010 gallon tank carries over 8,300 lbs of water. Make sure your truck or trailer is rated for the full load.
- Not for fuel. Don't use these tanks for gasoline, diesel or any other fuel.
Questions we get
How is this different from a regular leg tank?
A standard leg tank leaves some liquid below the outlet. The sump on a drainable tank lets it empty all the way. See Norwesco Horizontal Tanks for standard leg tanks.
Do I need the light blue tank?
If your liquid weighs more than 12.52 lbs per gallon (1.5 specific gravity), choose the light blue 1,010 gallon heavy duty tank.
