The Norwesco 750 Gallon Vertical HD Liquid Storage Tank is a 48-inch-diameter vertical polyethylene tank standing 103 inches tall, molded in white high density polyethylene and carrying an elevated 1.5 specific gravity rating. Empty, it weighs just 155 lb, which keeps a single-tank set manageable on a prepared pad. This unit ships without a fitting installed, so you spec the outlet and gasket that match your plumbing rather than adapting to a pre-cut hole. If you are cross-shopping vertical liquid storage in this class, this is the 750 gallon Norwesco vertical tank in white — the workhorse footprint for water, and a common choice for rainwater, non-potable reserve, potable and food-contact water, and rural fire-water storage.

Will it work for my job?

The tank holds 750 gallons at a 48-inch round footprint and 103 inches of height. Because Norwesco molds it from FDA-approved resin, it is suitable for potable and food-contact water storage up to its 120 F / 48 C operating limit — keep hot fills and direct high-heat sources off it. It carries a 16-inch lid for access and cleanout and a 2-inch outlet position; see the technical drawing on this page for exact port and lid placement. The HD build already carries the 1.5 specific gravity rating, so it also covers heavier-than-water liquids — water-treatment chemicals, brine, and mild solutions up to 1.5 SG — that many standard 1.0 or 1.35 SG water tanks can't hold. Not sure this is the right gallonage or height for your site? Run the numbers through our Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide before you commit.

Plan the foundation for the loaded weight

Filled with water the contents weigh about 6,255 lb, and at the tank's full 1.5 specific gravity rating the maximum rated contents weight is 9,382 lb — roughly 12.6 lb per gallon. Size your pad and ring foundation for that loaded number, not the 155 lb empty tank; that is close to a 60x delta between empty and full, and it is the 9,382 lb figure you hand your concrete contractor. If your liquid is heavier than water, size to the rated contents weight, not just to gallons, or you will overload the wall.

The fitting and outlet — get it right before the first fill

Because this unit ships without a fitting, the 2-inch outlet position and 16-inch lid are yours to complete: spec a bulkhead fitting and gasket material to match your plumbing before the tank ships, so the first fill does not become a leak. The most reliable path is to call 866-418-1777 and confirm the outlet configuration and gasket with us up front. For fire-water reserve on a rural or remote site, size the reservoir to your NFPA 22 demand before you buy — our fire-water reservoir design guide and the 750 gallon vertical (48" x 103") buyer's guide walk through the details.

This tank ships LTL freight from the nearest Norwesco plant to you — Norwesco molds it in California, Georgia, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas, so most destinations ship short. Get a live rate to your ZIP with our Freight Cost Estimator, or call 866-418-1777 and we will quote the freight and confirm the outlet configuration before your order goes out.
