Ronco molds it from natural polyethylene that is FDA compliant for fresh water contact. The resin carries no colorant, leaving the wall translucent so the remaining supply is always visible, and the rotational molding process forms the entire 8 gallon vessel as one seamless piece with no joints to fail.
Production and finishing happen at Ronco Plastics in Tustin, California, where tanks have been rotomolded since 1974.
