The Norwesco Polyethylene Stand for the 300 and 500 Gallon Norwesco Cone Bottom Tanks (MPN N-40574) is a vertical cone-bottom mixing vessel sized for batch chemistry, agricultural spray formulation, and aquaculture operations where residual liquid in a flat-bottom tank would cause carry-over contamination.

Design

  • One-piece rotomolded shell — no welded seam at the cone-to-cylinder transition
  • Integrated steel support stand sized to the tank — no field fabrication, no separate cradle to weld
  • Conical bottom geometry ensures complete batch evacuation through the centered drain outlet
  • Stand cross-bracing rated for the tank's full-load weight (water at 8.34 lb/gal × capacity for water service)
  • Top manway sized for installation of overhead agitator, mixer, or sample-port assembly

Installation

The integrated steel stand sets directly on a level concrete pad with anchor-bolt mounting through the stand foot-plates. Confirm the pad bearing capacity meets the filled-tank load: at 500 gallons of water service, the filled assembly weighs approximately 4,170 lb (multiply by chemical SG for chemical service). Install a bottom-outlet shutoff valve before commissioning batch service. Plumb the drain to a containment sump or process catch.

Common applications

  • Dairy clean-in-place (CIP) sanitizer staging and recovery
  • Wastewater pH-adjustment and chemical-precipitation reaction holding
  • Metal-finishing rinse-water collection and chemistry-recovery staging
  • Industrial slurry handling where complete drain prevents sediment accumulation
  • Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical batch-formulation and ingredient-staging service
  • Process chemistry batch mixing in coatings, adhesives, and resin formulation

Compatibility & compliance

Tank shell meets ASTM D1998 for atmospheric polyethylene service. Steel stand finish (galvanized or powder-coat) is selected for outdoor or indoor environment — specify when ordering. Not rated for pressurized service, vacuum service, or chemical service beyond the OEM compatibility chart for the tank-shell resin.

Shipping

Ships LTL freight from the nearest manufacturing plant. ZIP-specific freight quotes are available through the freight estimator or by phoning 866-418-1777 with MPN N-40574.
