The 24W is a long-hauler's tank: 43 inches of length, 16 wide, 10.5 tall, 27 gallons. That aspect ratio is built for the underfloor run alongside a driveshaft, the full length of a pickup bed toolbox, or the shallow bilge of a trailerable cruiser. It keeps a serious quantity of water below knee height, where it neither crowds the living space nor raises the center of gravity.
Ronco molds it in the Water / Waste Holding Tank series, meaning the same shell is sold both ways. Take it with fresh-water fittings and it is a potable tank - FDA-compliant polyethylene, drinking-water safe. Take it with waste fittings and it is a 27 gallon gray or black holding tank with the identical footprint, which makes paired fresh-and-waste installs pleasingly symmetrical.
Sixteen pounds empty; about 225 lb full at 8.34 lb per gallon of water. Plan the mounting for the second number. Related lengths and depths are all in the RV water tanks category and RV holding tanks, and marine builders will find the same moldings under boat tanks.
