Seventy inches. The 53W is the longest of Ronco's low planks - nearly six feet of tank at 70 x 16 x 8 inches, carrying 33 gallons in a profile just eight inches tall. Tanks like this are why sailboats have water under the settees and coaches have fresh capacity nobody can point to: the space was always there, running fore and aft; it just needed a molding this stubborn about staying thin.
The Water / Waste Holding Tank designation makes it two products in one tooling. With fresh-water fittings it is a potable tank in FDA-compliant polyethylene; with waste fittings it is a long, shallow holding tank that tucks under a cabin sole. Its 31 lb empty weight - heaviest of the plank family - reflects the extra material a six-foot span demands.
Full, it distributes about 275 lb of water (8.34 lb per gallon) along its whole length, which is actually the gentlest way to carry that load - provided the tank bears on supports spaced along the run. The shorter planks and every other profile live in the RV water tanks category and boat tanks; the waste library is under RV holding tanks.
