The construction is the house standard: rotomolded FDA-compliant polyethylene, one seamless piece, rated for potable water. It ships at 80 lb without fittings, because fittings are a per-order operation - you mark the fill, vent, and pickup on the printed drawing, or place them on the on-page fitting planner, and the Tustin, California shop spin-welds or thread-installs each one exactly there.
In service, 18 gallons means about 150 lb of water at 8.34 lb per gallon: a comfortable weekend supply for a small cruiser, and a load that wants a flat bearer and honest straps rather than a friction fit between bulkheads.
