A pre-fitted tank forces your plumbing to go where a factory guessed it should; a blank lets the supply, vent, and fill land precisely where your boat needs them. Twenty gallons is a sweet spot for a weekender: enough fresh water for a crew to wash up and cook across a couple of days without dedicating a locker to it. In fresh water service the natural food-grade polyethylene is the right material for potable supply, and because this is a B-series dual-role molding, the same blank can instead be fitted out as a gray or black holding tank if your build needs waste capacity in this shape.
The tank ships at 29 lb and carries about 167 lb when full, so plan mounting straps and a supported base rather than hanging it from tabs alone.
