Square-plan matters in small hulls. With equal sides, the tank fits its corner whichever way it goes in, and the flat top gives you the whole face for fittings. This is a B-series dual-role molding: order it fresh-fitted and the food-grade polyethylene carries potable water; order it waste-fitted and it is a compact gray or black holding tank for a head or galley sink.
