The Ronco Plastics B402 is a 24 gallon molding that ships at 103 lb, which makes it, pound for pound, one of the thickest-walled tanks Ronco offers. More than four pounds of polyethylene per gallon of capacity is deliberate overbuild for the hardest duty: offshore hulls, work skiffs, anything that hits hard. The B-series dual-role design still applies; potable fittings for a food-grade fresh water tank, waste fittings for a gray or black holding tank.
The water itself adds about 200 lb full at 8.34 lb per gallon, meaning the empty tank weighs half as much as its contents. That ratio buys decades of service.
