The Ronco Plastics B487 is a wide, shallow 97 gallon molding built for the space under things: under a deck, under a coach floor, under a garage-bay platform. Its long, flat proportions distribute nearly half a ton of water where a compact tank would concentrate it.
Specifically, about 809 lb at 8.34 lb per gallon when full, riding on a 136 lb shell. Spread across the tank's broad footprint that load is manageable, but the supporting structure must be continuous; a shallow tank spanning a void will oil-can where a supported one will not.
The B487 is a dual-role B-series molding. Fresh water fittings make it a potable tank, its polyethylene food-contact grade; waste fittings make it a high-capacity gray or black holding tank.
