The B510 is close to a cube: 42 gallons in a 24 x 22 x 20 inch block. That proportion is the whole argument for it. A near-cubic tank puts the most volume behind the least surface area, so the walls span short unsupported distances and the molding stays stiff when the boat pounds. If your compartment is boxy rather than long and flat, this shape wastes almost none of it.
Like every tank in Ronco's marine B-series, the B510 is molded as a dual-role blank. Order it with fittings placed for supply and it serves as a fresh water tank in FDA-approved polyethylene; order it with waste-style fittings and the same molding runs as a gray or black holding tank. You decide the role when you mark the fitting locations - Ronco spin-welds or thread-installs them to your marks before the tank ships. Print the drawing below, sketch your ports on it, and use the fitting planner on this page to build the order.
Plan the installation around full weight, not the 35 lb the tank ships at. Forty-two gallons of water is about 350 lb, so the tank needs a floor under it, not a pair of straps around it. Ronco has rotomolded these in Tustin, California since 1974, and the wall thickness reflects boat duty rather than trailer duty.
