At 7.5 gallons and a 26 x 11 x 7 inch envelope, the B525 is a tank for boats where every locker already has a job. It slides under a cockpit sole or behind a settee, weighs 13 lb empty, and one person installs it without help. Small boats do not need less reliable tankage - they need tankage sized to the boat, and this is the small end of Ronco's marine B-series done properly rather than improvised from a jerry can.
The B525 is a dual-role marine molding. Specify fresh water fittings and it becomes a potable supply tank - the polyethylene is FDA approved for drinking water. Specify waste fittings and the identical blank serves as a compact gray or black holding tank, which is often the harder tank to find room for on a trailerable boat. Either way, Ronco installs the fittings to your marks, spin-welded or threaded, before it ships. Full of water it weighs about 63 lb - light enough that a simple molded shelf and a strap handle it, but enough that it should not sit loose. Molded in Tustin, California, where Ronco has been building tanks since 1974.
