One inch is the utility size in tank plumbing, and the F1BH is Ronco's 1 inch bulkhead fitting: big enough to feed a pump or drain a mid-size tank at a useful rate, small enough to fit on nearly any flat face of nearly any molding. If a tank needs one added port and you are not sure what size, this is almost always the answer.
The mechanics are simple and proven - a gasketed flange through a drilled hole, drawn tight by a nut, leaving standard 1 inch threads to plumb against. It is field-installable with hand tools, which makes it the natural fix for tanks already mounted where a return trip to the factory is not happening. As Ronco's own accessory it is dimensioned for the walls of Ronco tanks specifically.
