The 9W is 44 gallons of fresh water in a four-foot rectangle - 48 x 20 x 12 inches - at an empty weight of just 27 lb. That last number is the story: one person carries this tank to the bay, holds it in place, and test-fits it alone. For DIY conversions where every install is a one-person job, light blanks are not a luxury.
The material is FDA-compliant polyethylene, molded for potable service - this is a drinking-water tank, not a repurposed utility molding. Full, it holds roughly 367 lb of water (8.34 lb per gallon), which is why the light empty weight must not fool you into a light installation: continuous floor support and straps to structure, always sized to the full figure.
Like every tank from Ronco's Tustin, California plant - rotomolding since 1974 - it ships with fittings installed per order, spin-welded or threaded to the locations you choose. Print the drawing below and mark your fill, feed, and vent points, or use the on-page fitting planner. If your bay wants a different shape, the RV12W at 43 gallons and RV10W at 40 gallons are close in volume, and the whole family lives in RV water tanks and on the Ronco Plastics hub. OneSource Plastics is an authorized Ronco Plastics dealer.
