Seventeen gallons is an honest number for a trailerable cruiser: enough fresh water for a weekend aboard without giving up a locker you actually use. The Ronco Plastics B462 puts 17 gallons into a rotationally molded polyethylene shell with no seams to weep and no factory penetrations to work around.
Like every tank in Ronco's marine B-series, this is a dual-role molding. Specify fresh water fittings and it becomes a potable supply tank in food-grade PE; specify waste fittings and the same body serves as a gray or black holding tank. The role is set by the fittings you order, not by the shell, and Ronco installs those fittings at the factory, spin-welded or threaded to the marks you provide.
Work from the drawing below: print it, sketch your hose runs, and lock in port locations with the on-page fitting planner before you order. Topped off, the tank holds about 142 lb of water at 8.34 lb per gallon, so mount it low and strap it well.
The B462 has been molded in Tustin, California by a company doing exactly this work since 1974, and it ships at 89 lb crated. Price the lane with the freight cost estimator, see near-size options among our boat tanks, or a dedicated 17 gallon holding tank if waste is the whole job.
