Dual-role means you buy the shell and choose the trade: fresh water fittings make it a drinking water tank in food-contact PE; waste fittings make it a gray or black holding tank that gets a small head through a long weekend. Ronco installs your fittings per order, spin-welded or threaded at the positions you specify, so even in a cramped bilge the ports end up reachable.
