Sixteen inches is full-service access: the MANWAY16 is the largest manway in Ronco's accessory line, an opening you can work through with both hands and a light. On a big holding or storage molding it turns interior cleaning from a flush-and-hope exercise into an actual job you can see yourself doing - and finish.
Choose this size when the tank is large, the contents leave residue, or the interior carries equipment that will someday need service. The threaded lid spins off by hand and reseals without tools, and the opening passes the gear that a 12 inch ring will not: a full-size brush head, a submersible pump, a folded baffle panel. Cutting a big opening is a one-time decision; make it when the tank is specified, not after the first cleanout defeats you.
