The MANWAY4 is a 4 inch threaded access port - the small end of Ronco's manway line, sized for inspection rather than entry. Four inches is enough to sight the interior with a flashlight, dip a sample, drop in a sensor or a chlorine puck, or reach a valve stem with long-nose tools. On small and mid-size tanks that is most of the maintenance a tank ever needs.
Its virtue is proportion: a small molding cannot spare the flat area a large manway ring demands, and a lid this size adds access without stealing the top face that fills, vents, and senders also want. The threaded cap seats and unseats by hand and stays weathertight between uses.
