Five feet of tank, eleven inches tall. The 8W stretches 50 gallons of fresh water into a 60.25 x 20.12 x 11 inch band that slides between frame rails and under floors where no upright tank will go. Long-and-low is the hardest shape to find in a water tank, and it is exactly the shape that underfloor fresh storage demands - this is the molding for coaches that want real capacity without giving up an inch of interior.
It is a potable-spec molding: FDA-compliant polyethylene for drinking water systems. The blank weighs 76 lb - stout for a water tank, wall thickness you can feel - and full it carries about 417 lb at 8.34 lb per gallon, spread usefully thin across that five-foot footprint. Low and long also means a low center of gravity, which your handling will thank you for.
Ronco rotomolds it in Tustin, California, as they have since 1974, and installs fittings per order: spin-weld or threaded, at the locations you mark. Print the drawing below and mark your fill, outlet, and vent - or set them on the on-page fitting planner. For other proportions at similar volume, see the RV51W at 45 gallons or the RV9W at 48, and the full spread in the RV water tank category. OneSource Plastics is an authorized Ronco Plastics dealer.
