The Enduraplas 1350 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC01350KG) is built for full-drain chemical batching where you need every gallon to gravity-feed out the bottom. The tank stands 86 inches tall on an 85-inch-diameter footprint, ships with a 16" threaded vented manway up top and a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead fitting at the cone outlet, and carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating molded into polyethylene. Empty it weighs about 300 lb; the cone-and-stand design means the vessel is fully supported by its stand, so plan your pad for the loaded weight, not the shell. It ships FDA Approved from Enduraplas.
Will it hold your product?
Sizing is where a cone tank gets mistaken. Filled with water this 1350 gallon tank carries roughly 11,259 lb, but its 1.9 SG rating lets it hold up to about 21,392 lb of denser contents — that number is the ceiling at full volume multiplied by 1.9 SG, and it is what your stand pad and anchoring have to answer to. A fluid heavier than 1.9 SG would exceed the tank's structural rating even below the fill line, so multiply your product's specific gravity by the 11,259 lb full-water figure to confirm you land under 21,392 lb. Run the numbers on our Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide. At 1.9 SG this is the top density rating in the poly cone-bottom line — no heavier-rated upgrade is required for any chemistry cleared below, so the "is there a stronger tank?" question is already answered.
Chemical compatibility
This tank is molded from polyethylene with a 1.9 SG rating. The resin is recorded as HDLPE with a caveat — confirm HDLPE vs XLPE before committing to chemical service, since crosslink status changes long-term chemical resistance. Compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific; verify your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and both fitting and gasket material before ordering. One thing to check first: the tank ships with a polypropylene (PP) outlet, and most listed chemistries call for a different fitting material, so plan to match the hardware to the chart.
A fast rule of thumb from the chart: oxidizers and strong acids — chlorine (sodium hypochlorite), hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, phosphoric, and sulfuric acid — need Viton gaskets (peracetic acid needs Aflas), while salts, glycols, hydroxides, and DEF/urea services run on EPDM. Fitting material splits too: most services use PVC, sulfuric acid at 98% needs CPVC, and DEF, peracetic acid, propylene glycol, and zinc orthophosphate call for 316 stainless — do not spec a PVC or PP bulkhead for those.
Chemicals cleared at this tank's 1.9 SG rating include Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC/EPDM), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC/EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC/EPDM), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC with Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC with Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC with Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC with Viton), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS with Aflas), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC with Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride (PVC/EPDM), Potassium Carbonate (50%, PVC/EPDM), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC/EPDM), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfate and Sodium Bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Hypochlorite (below 16.5%, PVC with Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%, PVC/EPDM), Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC with Viton), Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM, PVC/EPDM). Lighter-duty chemistries such as Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Sodium Carbonate (30%), and Urea Solution (50%) carry lower required SG ratings and sit well within this tank's 1.9. DEF at 32.5% is one to flag: it clears easily on density but requires 316 stainless fittings with EPDM, not the PP outlet the tank ships with. The wrong gasket or fitting, not the tank, is the most common chemical-service failure — full details are in our Chemical Compatibility Database.
