The Enduraplas 3000 Gallon Green Cone Bottom Tank is the heavy-duty version of the 3000-gallon cone tank, built for full-drain chemical service where you cannot leave residue in the bottom of the tank. The cone-shaped floor empties completely through the bottom outlet, which is why operators reach for a cone bottom tank when handling slurries, settling solids, or aggressive liquids that need to be flushed cleanly between batches. This Enduraplas unit is molded in green polyethylene, holds 3,000 gallons, and stands 136 inches tall on a 90 x 90 inch footprint.

Will this tank handle your contents?

This unit carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, meaning the polyethylene wall is engineered for dense chemicals well beyond plain water. Run the numbers before you plumb it: filled with water (SG 1.0) the tank and contents weigh about 25,020 lb, and at its maximum rated 1.9 SG contents it reaches roughly 47,538 lb. Those weights drive your stand, slab, and anchoring decisions far more than the tank itself does. Because a cone bottom tank carries its entire load on the cone and legs, it must sit in a matching steel stand sized for the full filled weight - a tank this size is never freestanding. See our Cone Bottom Tank Stand Compatibility Matrix to pair it correctly, and use the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide to confirm the 3000-gallon size fits your draw-down and refill cycle. If you are weighing cone geometry, our 3000-gallon buyer's guides compare the 15 degree and 30 degree (99 x 134 and 95 x 123) configurations side by side.

Chemical compatibility

This tank is a high-density polyethylene (HDLPE) cone bottom rated to 1.9 specific gravity, and that high rating is the reason it pairs with dense, aggressive media including DEF (32.5%, 316 stainless fittings, EPDM gaskets) and urea solution (50%, PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets). One note before chemical service: the resin designation on our record is shown as HDLPE pending confirmation, so verify HDLPE versus cross-linked (XLPE) with us at 866-418-1777 before you commit it to an aggressive chemical - the two resins do not share the same chemical-resistance profile. Compatibility below is drawn from the OEM chemical-resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific; always match your exact concentration and operating temperature against the chart for your chemical.

Chemicals this tank's resin and 1.9 SG rating can handle, with the recommended fitting and gasket materials, include: Acetic Acid (60%, PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), Aluminum Sulfate (50%, PVC, EPDM), Calcium Chloride (40%, PVC, EPDM), Ethylene Glycol (100%, PVC, EPDM), Ferric Chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), Ferric Sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate (20%, PVC, EPDM), Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC, Viton), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), Magnesium Chloride (30%, PVC, EPDM), Peracetic Acid (30%, 316SS, Aflas), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC, Viton), Polyaluminum Chloride (PVC, EPDM), Potassium Carbonate (50%, PVC, EPDM), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfate (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), Sodium Carbonate (30%, PVC, EPDM), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC, Viton), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%, PVC, EPDM), Sulfuric Acid (98%, CPVC, Viton), Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM, PVC, EPDM). Watch the gasket callouts closely: the oxidizer and strong-acid services - sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid at 98%, hydrogen peroxide, hydrofluoric and phosphoric acid - need Viton, while peracetic acid needs Aflas. Specify those plus the matching CPVC, PVC, PP, or 316 stainless fittings, not stock EPDM hardware. Full details for every chemical live in our Chemical Compatibility Database.

The mistake to avoid

The most expensive error on a tank like this is under-rating the specific gravity. The 1.9 SG rating is the contents the wall is built to hold; if your chemical's actual specific gravity exceeds 1.9, this tank is the wrong choice no matter how good the chemical resistance looks. Confirm your fluid's SG first, then confirm resin type (HDLPE vs XLPE) and the right gasket material for your concentration before ordering. This pack does not include the outlet and fitting sizes for this unit, so confirm outlet and fitting configuration with us at 866-418-1777 and check the technical drawing on this page for the dimensional and port layout.

This Enduraplas cone bottom tank ships LTL freight from the nearest Enduraplas plant in our network - Converse, TX or Neche, ND - and because we can quote from either plant, you get whichever one lands lower freight to your ZIP on a 25,020 lb (water) to 47,538 lb (rated) load. Get your number with the Freight Cost Estimator or call us at 866-418-1777 to confirm specific gravity, resin, fittings, and the matching stand before you order.
