Why a wall instead of cones or barricades
A continuous run does things spaced devices cannot. It physically separates pedestrians from live traffic, it cannot be nudged out of line one device at a time, and it reads as a wall to drivers rather than as a suggestion. For extended urban closures where a sidewalk has to stay open alongside a work area, this is usually the correct device.
Sheeting grade is how the SKUs divide
- WO Sheeting (24 items) — no reflective sheeting; daytime work or pedestrian separation away from traffic.
- EG Sheeting (23 items) — Engineer Grade.
- HIP Sheeting (23 items) — High Intensity Prismatic, the brightest option.
Near-identical counts because it is one system with three faces. Sheeting is applied at manufacture, so order the grade your specification names. ECO R-MOR (7 items) is the recycled-content version of the same system, which is worth knowing if your agency has recycled-content procurement targets.
ADA pedestrian routes
The ADA Rapid Wall System and its Foot ADA base exist for temporary pedestrian routes that must remain accessible. A continuous, detectable bottom edge lets a cane user track the route — cones and spaced barricades provide nothing a cane can follow, which is the usual finding when a temporary pedestrian route is challenged.
