Septic Holding Tanks
A septic holding tank stores wastewater until it is pumped out, with no drain field. Holding tanks are used for job shacks and construction sites, cabins, sites that can't pass a perc test, and anywhere a permit calls for a holding tank instead of a septic system. This page carries Norwesco above-ground holding tanks (job shack tanks) from 200 to 500 gallons.

Before you buy
- Above ground or below: the tanks here sit above ground, often under a job shack or trailer. For a buried holding tank, see Norwesco's multi-use underground tanks and confirm the model is approved for holding in your county.
- Size by pump-out schedule: a bigger tank means fewer pump-outs. Estimate daily use in gallons and how often you can get the tank pumped.
- Approvals: holding tanks are permitted by your state or county; check before you order. CA marks a California version.
