Norwesco Elliptical Cradle Tanks
Norwesco elliptical cradle tanks are horizontal polyethylene tanks with an oval cross-section, made to sit in a cradle, skid or frame. They range from 200 gallons up to 1,600 gallons. The low, wide shape keeps the weight down near the deck, which helps on trucks, trailers and sprayer rigs. Most are white, and some sizes also come in black or yellow.

Sizes and features
Sizes are 200, 300, 500, 750, 1,000 and 1,600 gallons. Each tank has a sump at the bottom, and the overall height Norwesco lists includes the sump. The 200 gallon tank has an 8 inch lid and the larger tanks have a 16 inch manway. The 200 to 500 gallon tanks have a 1-1/4 inch outlet, and the 750 to 1,600 gallon tanks have a 2 inch outlet. One 300 gallon tank has an offset manway, and the 1,600 gallon tank comes with one polyethylene baffle. The tanks are rated to 1.5 specific gravity. Skids
Norwesco makes steel skids for the 750 and 1,000 gallon tanks, listed in this category. The skid supports the tank and gives you a frame to mount.
Before you order
- Support the tank. Set it in a cradle, skid or frame made to hold it, never on a bare deck or loose on a trailer.
- Check your weight. Water weighs about 8.3 lbs per gallon, so a full 1,000 gallon tank carries over 8,000 lbs of water. Make sure your truck or trailer is rated for the full load.
- Not for fuel. Don't use these tanks for gasoline, diesel or any other fuel.
Questions we get
Cradle tank or leg tank?

Can I haul drinking water?
The tanks are molded from FDA-compliant polyethylene. Check the Certifications line on each tank if you need NSF 61.
