Traffic & Work Zone Safety - Comprehensive Catalog
OneSource Plastics' traffic and work-zone safety catalog carries the full Cortina product range - cones, barricades, channelizer drums, signs, flags, parking aids, warning lights, and rapid-deploy barrier wall. Search by SKU, product type, or size below. Bulk pricing and consolidated-freight quotes are available via 866-418-1777.
Applications
- Road construction and maintenance work zones - lane closures, tapers, and detours
- Utility, municipal, and DOT temporary traffic control
- Parking control, pedestrian channelization, and crowd management
- Events, warehouses, and facility floor safety
- Emergency and incident scene management
Compliance & Standards
Temporary traffic control devices are selected and placed per the FHWA Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Cones and drums use fluorescent orange bodies with retroreflective collars for nighttime conspicuity; retroreflective sheeting is specified to ASTM D4956 grades (engineer grade vs. high-intensity prismatic - check each listing). Devices used within the roadway clear zone are commonly crashworthy per NCHRP-350 / MASH. Actual ratings, sheeting grade, and material vary by model and manufacturer, so confirm each product's Specifications tab for what applies.
Freight & Delivery
Lighter items (single cones, signs, hardware) ship parcel ground; bulk cones, barricades, drums, and barrier wall ship LTL motor freight from the closest stocking warehouse to your delivery ZIP. Typical LTL transit is 3-7 business days. Inspect at delivery and note any damage on the bill of lading before signing - that is the LTL carrier claim trigger. Bulk-order consolidation lowers per-unit freight; call 866-418-1777 with SKU, quantity, and delivery ZIP for a same-business-day quote.
Selection
Match device to speed and duration: 28 in cones are the MUTCD minimum for higher-speed roadways, while 12-18 in cones suit parking and low-speed control; heavier bases hold position in wind and wake. Barricades follow MUTCD Type I / II / III by stripe area and application. Channelizer drums need adequate ballast, and rapid-wall systems interlock for pedestrian or vehicle separation.
