The 47H anchors the large end of Ronco's mainstream holding tank boxes: 43 x 22 x 11.25 inches, 27 gallons, the sort of tank that serves as the black tank under a full-time couple's fifth wheel. The proportions are conventional, which is exactly what you want when the compartment is conventional, and at about 28 pounds the blank is manageable to fit solo.
Twenty-seven gallons of waste is about 225 pounds at 8.34 pounds per gallon, so this is a tank that demands honest straps and a sound floor. Duty is gray or black water only; no H-series molding carries a potable rating. Within the same capacity, the 6H offers a side dump in a broad 38 x 27 x 9 envelope; below it, the 54H packs 26 gallons into 28 x 22 x 11.5; above, the 22H reaches 30 gallons at 39 x 25 x 12.
Every 47H is rotomolded in Tustin, California by Ronco Plastics, tank makers since 1974, and finished with spin-weld or threaded fittings at the locations you specify.
