The Enduraplas 5200 Gallon Vertical Liquid Storage Tank is a bulk above-ground poly tank built for high-volume water service, standing 164 inches tall on a 100 by 100 inch footprint (verified dimensions). At capacity it holds 5,200 gallons, and a full tank of water weighs roughly 43,368 pounds, so the pad and site have to be engineered for that load before the first fill. If you are still deciding whether this is the right volume for your draw and refill cycle, run the numbers through our Tank Sizing Calculator and read the Tank Sizing Guide first.

Will it work for your site?

This is a vertical storage tank sized for stationary bulk water: fire-water reserves, irrigation, rainwater and reuse capture, and any application where you need a large standing reservoir on a flat pad. Per the technical drawing on this page, it comes with a 3 inch bolted fitting for your outlet or draw line and a 16 inch lid for access and top fill. The bolted fitting is a flanged connection sealed by a bolt-ring and gasket rather than a molded or threaded port, which means the seal can be serviced and re-torqued in the field; call 866-418-1777 to confirm the gasket spec for your fluid. Plan the site around the numbers below: you need overhead clearance above the 164 inch height to fill it, and enough flat, load-rated ground under the full 100 by 100 inch footprint.

  • Capacity: 5,200 gallons
  • Height: 164 in (overhead fill clearance required above this)
  • Footprint: 100 x 100 in (minimum bearing pad)
  • Full water weight: 43,368 lb
  • Fittings: 3 in bolted fitting, 16 in lid

Water service and specific gravity

This tank is sold for water and water-based service. A specific gravity rating is not published for this unit, so confirm it before storing anything heavier than water (SG greater than 1.0) or any chemical. For plain water, irrigation, rainwater, reuse, and fire reserve, it is ready to work as listed; for anything else, call 866-418-1777 first so we can verify the tank is rated for your fluid.

The mistake to avoid

The single biggest error at 5,200 gallons is under-building the foundation. A pad that works for a 1,000 gallon tank will crack or settle under 43,368 pounds of water, and uneven settling stresses the tank wall. Size the slab to the load and the soil. For the framework on getting that pad right, see Concrete Pad Sizing for Above-Ground Polyethylene Tanks. If this reservoir is going in for rural or remote fire protection, the NFPA 22 sizing and freeze-protection guide covers the discipline behind it, and reuse-focused sites should review the industrial water reuse tank topology guide.

Freight

A tank this size ships LTL freight on its own, and freight is quoted separately to your ZIP code rather than included in the list price. Get a freight quote to your ZIP with our Freight Cost Estimator, or call 866-418-1777 and we will work out the best routing and offload plan for a tank of this height and weight before you order.
