It's injection-molded from PVC with a wide-body one-piece base molded as one with the cone - the heavier, more stable member of the DW lineup versus slim-line designs, standing a full 36 inches on a 10-pound base.

The wide-body base gives this cone steadier footing on highway shoulders and open lots than slim-line designs, while the tall orange body holds visibility high. It meets MUTCD standards and is NCHRP-350 certified with a Certificate of Crashworthiness, so it satisfies the specifications work-zone traffic control plans call for.
