The Plastx TYPE I barricade is the all-plastic original in traffic-control channelizing, molded as a single unit rather than a wood or metal-frame assembly. This configuration carries Diamond Grade fluorescent orange sheeting on the striped rails plus a top panel with a directional arrow, giving crews a bright marker to steer traffic through active work zones. Plastx barricades are molded in white, with reflective sheeting applied to both faces for day-and-night guidance.
What makes it work
Plastx is 100% plastic construction, so there is no wood to rot or metal to rust and no separate frame to fail. Sheeting is striped 4 inches wide on both sides, produced with left sheeting on one face and right sheeting on the other unless otherwise specified, so a single unit reads correctly from either approach. The top panel with directional arrow adds clear lane-shift or merge messaging above the rails.
