Norwesco's steel stand for the 1000 and 1500 gallon cone bottom tanks
Part number 63934 is Norwesco's steel stand for its 1000 gallon and 1500 gallon cone bottom tanks. A cone bottom tank has no flat base, so it needs a stand that cradles the cone and lifts the outlet high enough to get a valve, a pump or a drum underneath. This one is a welded steel frame 74 inches square at the floor and 43 inches tall, weighing 340 lb. The stand and the tank are a matched pair: the cone angle and the size of the tank decide the stand, so this one belongs under the 1000 or 1500 gallon tank it is named for and not under a tank that merely looks similar. A full 1500 gallon tank is several tons on four feet, which is why the stand is as heavy as it is.

What to check before you buy
- The tank. Norwesco pairs each cone bottom tank with its own stand. Our cone bottom tank stand compatibility matrix lists which stand goes under which tank; if your tank is another size or make, tell us the part number before you order.
- The floor. The stand needs a flat, level, continuous 74 inch square with no drain, joint or slope under it, and a slab designed for the full weight of the tank. A stand on a floor that falls toward a drain rests on three feet instead of four.
- The height. The frame is 43 inches tall, which sets the room under the cone outlet for a valve, a pump inlet or a drum. Measure that equipment before the order, not after.
- The doorway. At 74 inches square the stand does not go through a standard door. Plan the route to its final position before it arrives.
- Anchoring. No anchor hardware comes with the stand. If your site needs it bolted down, that hardware and the pad design are yours.

Setting it up
Put the stand in its final position and check it with a level across both diagonals. Set the empty tank in it and turn it so the outlet points where the pipe will run. Fit the outlet valve before the first fill, and fill with water the first time. Your engineer, not this page, decides what the slab has to carry.
