A steel support band for Norwesco's 200 gallon tank, sold two to a tank
Part number 63554 is the steel band Norwesco makes for its 200 gallon horizontal tank, and the tank takes two of them. A band is the strap that holds a horizontal tank to whatever it rides on: it wraps over the tank, bolts down to the deck or skid on each side, and keeps a full tank from walking, rocking or lifting when the vehicle brakes or the ground shifts. Each band is 39 inches long, 1 inch wide and 33 inches tall as it is shaped, weighs 10 lb, and ships by UPS. The 200 gallons in the name is the tank it fits, not anything the band holds.

What to check before you buy
- The tank. Shaped for Norwesco's 200 gallon horizontal tank. A band curved for another size will not sit flat on the shell, so give us the tank part number if you are not sure.
- The count. Two per tank. One band holds the middle and lets both ends move; order the pair.
- Hardware. The band is the steel strap. Bolts, washers and any pad between band and tank are yours to supply to suit your deck, unless we tell you otherwise when you order.
- The deck. The band holds the tank to the deck; it does not make the deck strong enough. The trailer or truck bed rating, not the band, is usually the limit.

Fitting it
Set the empty tank in its final position and turn it so the outlet points where the pipe will run. Lay each band over the tank where the drawing shows, mark the bolt holes through the feet, then take the band off to drill. Bolt the bands down snug with the tank empty and check them again after the first fill, because a polyethylene tank settles a little under its first load. Do not crank a band tight enough to dent the shell. Look at the bands and bolts each season and after any hard trip.
