A bolt down hoop for Norwesco's 235 gallon tank, sold two to a tank
Part number 64165 is the steel bolt down hoop Norwesco makes for its 235 gallon tank, and the tank takes two of them. A hoop wraps over the tank and bolts to the deck, skid or floor on each side, so a full tank cannot walk, rock or lift when a vehicle brakes or the ground moves under it. Each hoop is 44 inches long, 2 inches wide and 28 inches tall as it is shaped, weighs 12 lb, and ships by LTL freight. The 235 gallons in the name is the tank the hoop fits, not anything the hoop holds.

What to check before you buy
- The tank. Shaped for Norwesco's 235 gallon tank. A hoop curved for another size will not sit flat on the shell, so give us the tank part number if you are not sure.
- The count. Two per tank. One hoop holds the middle and lets both ends move; order the pair.
- Hardware. The hoop is the steel strap. Bolts, washers and any pad between hoop and tank are yours to supply to suit your deck, unless we tell you otherwise when you order.
- The deck. The hoop holds the tank to the deck; it does not make the deck strong enough. The trailer or floor rating, not the hoop, is usually the limit.

Fitting it
Set the empty tank in its final position and turn it so the outlet points where the pipe will run. Lay each hoop over the tank where the drawing shows, mark the bolt holes through the feet, then take the hoop off to drill. Bolt the hoops down snug with the tank empty and check them again after the first fill, because a polyethylene tank settles a little under its first load. Do not crank a hoop tight enough to dent the shell. Look at the hoops and bolts each season and after any hard trip.

Each hoop is a 12 lb piece packed 44 by 2 by 28 inches and travels by LTL freight from the nearest of Norwesco's plants; ordered with the tank, the hoops ride on the tank's pallet.
