A stainless steel support band for Norwesco's 2650, 3135 and 3250 gallon tanks, four to a tank
Part number 65079 is the stainless steel support band Norwesco makes for its 2650, 3135 and 3250 gallon horizontal tanks, and each tank takes four of them. A support band wraps over the tank and ties it down to the skid, deck or cradle it rides on, so a tank holding several thousand gallons cannot walk, rock or lift when a truck brakes or the ground moves. Each band is shaped to the tank's curve, about 85.5 inches across, 75.87 inches deep and 91.75 inches tall as it stands, and weighs 58 lb. The gallon figures in the name are the tanks it fits, not anything the band holds.

What to check before you buy
- The tank. Shaped for Norwesco's 2650, 3135 and 3250 gallon horizontal tanks. A band curved for another size will not sit flat on the shell, so give us the tank part number.
- The count. Four per tank. Fewer bands on a tank this long leave a section free to flex and shift; order the full set.
- Hardware. The band is the stainless strap. Bolts, washers and any pad between band and tank are yours to supply to suit your skid or deck, unless we tell you otherwise when you order.
- The deck. The bands hold the tank to the structure; they do not make the structure strong enough. The trailer, skid or floor rating is the limit.

Fitting them
Set the empty tank in its final position and turn it so the outlet points where the pipe will run. Lay each band over the tank where the drawing shows, mark the bolt holes through the feet, then lift the band off to drill. Bolt the bands down snug with the tank empty and check them again after the first fill, because a polyethylene tank settles a little under its first load. Do not crank a band tight enough to dent the shell.

Each band is a 58 lb piece packed 92 by 86 by 76 inches and travels by LTL freight from the nearest of Norwesco's plants; ordered with the tank, the bands ride with the tank. The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. At the tailgate, count four bands and look at each curve for a bend it did not leave the plant with.
