A 65 gallon chemical injection system: tank, stand and containment basin
The Norwesco 65 gallon chemical injection system, part number 44099, comes as three pieces that work together: a 65 gallon leg tank, a stand that holds it up at working height, and a containment basin that sits underneath to catch any leak or overfill. It is built to sit in one place next to a well, an irrigation system, a boiler or a treatment skid while a metering pump draws chemical from it. The tank is white high density linear polyethylene with a 5 inch lid on top, rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity with a service limit of 120 F, and the resin is FDA compliant per Norwesco. The white wall lets you read the level from across the room.

Where it goes
Chlorination at a well head, acid or fertilizer injection on a drip system, polymer or coagulant feed at a small treatment plant, oilfield chemical treatment, boiler water treatment, and any job where a pump pulls a steady small flow from a tank that gets refilled from drums or totes. What goes in it
Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common treatment chemicals. Check the chemical in our chemical compatibility guide before it goes in; the entries for sodium hypochlorite, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrogen peroxide and polyaluminum chloride are the ones buyers ask about most. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water, or hotter than 120 F, need a different tank.
What to check before you buy
- The lid. One 5 inch lid on top. It takes a fill from a drum pump and a suction line for the metering pump.
- Fittings. Tell us whether your pump draws from a top suction tube or a bottom outlet and what size, and we confirm what ships on the tank and what to add.
- The space. Plan for the basin's footprint: 36" x 61" x 15" tall.
- The pump. Match the suction line, the foot valve and the tank fitting to the pump maker's recommendation. Keep the suction run short and the pump close to the tank.
