Why a cone bottom tank needs a stand
A flat bottom tank sits on its own floor and spreads its weight over the pad. A cone bottom tank cannot. Its floor runs down to a point, the outlet is at that point, and the tank has to be carried on a frame with the cone and its valve in open air underneath. The stand is the foundation of the installation, not an add-on, so order it with the tank rather than after the tank arrives.
Cone angles are not interchangeable. A stand built for one angle supports the tank where its wall meets the cone; on a tank with a different angle, that contact is wrong.
