Installing it
Lay out the whole run dry before anything is tightened. The flange faces should meet square without anyone pulling on the pipe; if the bolts only line up under force, fix the run, because a plastic joint held in strain is the one that weeps later. Bring the bolts down evenly in a crossing pattern, a little at a time on each. Hang the valve and the first length of pipe from their own support so the connector carries liquid, not hardware. After the first fill with water, look at the joint again once everything has settled.
