What to check before you buy

1. The tank diameter. 48 inches. It is on the tank's own page. A stand sized for a 48 inch tank carries a 48 inch tank and nothing wider.
2. The clearance. 12 inches. Measure the outlet fitting, the valve and whatever sits under it, and add room for a wrench.
3. The total height. The stand is 48 inches tall, so the tank bottom sits four feet up and the lid sits the tank's own height above that. Check that against your ceiling, your fill hose and the ladder you will use.
4. The floor. A flat, level, continuous 48 inch square, with no drain, slope or joint under it. A polyethylene stand spreads its load over its base rather than onto four feet, so a lip or a stone under one edge matters more, not less.
5. Anchoring and loading. No anchor hardware or load rating is listed with the stand. Tell us the tank and the liquid and we confirm the pairing with Snyder before it ships.

Setting it up

Sweep the pad, set the stand, and level it in both directions before the tank goes on. Set the empty tank, turn it so the outlet points where the pipe will run, fit the valve, and fill with water the first time. Support the first length of pipe on its own; the outlet should carry liquid, not hardware.
