Why hoops get ordered, and by whom

Hoops get ordered for one of two reasons and it is worth knowing which one you are before you buy. The first is replacement. A tank has been in service for years, the banding that came with it has taken weather, salt, sun, a forklift or a strimmer, and somebody wants the original parts back on the vessel rather than a length of strap and some improvisation.
