The 103H is the heavyweight of Ronco's four 40-gallon holding shells - 50 lb of polyethylene before a drop of waste goes in, against 28 to 33 lb for its capacity twins. Ronco molds the same volume in multiple wall builds because the duty varies: a tank slung under a heavy coach that lives on rough roads earns thicker walls than one cradled in a framed compartment.
Full, every 40-gallon tank in the line carries about 334 lb of gray or black water, so the shell choice is about longevity, not load rating on paper. The alternatives: the 5H with published dimensions of 56.5 x 19 x 12.5 inches, the 84H, and the 71H. Outlines for the undimensioned shapes are on their drawings - print the 103H sheet below to check yours.
While that drawing is printed, mark your fitting locations on it. Ronco ships no tank with guessed holes: drain, vent, and inlet are spin-welded or threaded per order, wherever your plumbing needs them, at the Tustin, California plant that has molded RV tanks since 1974. Waste duty only; see RV holding tanks for the rest of the line and RV water tanks for potable.
